David Sire MD
David J. Sire is a cosmetic dermasurgeon with a passion for revitalizing skin health. He is the Founder and Medical Director of Advanced Skincare MedCenter, a surgical facility accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality. Since 1971 he has dedicated his career to applying advanced medical technology and proven techniques to treat men, women and children.
Dr. Sire is a noted authority on the use of lasers and light sources. A frequent lecturer and panelist at medical meetings, he is regularly called upon to train other physicians on his treatment techniques. Dr. Sire pioneered the use of saline injections to treat acne and other scars and has developed a line of specialty skincare products. The author of eight published medical papers, Dr. Sire has been quoted in national magazines including Glamour and In Style and has appeared on several radio and television programs.

Training and Experience
Graduating from the University of California Irvine in June 1967, Dr. Sire completed his internship at the Naval Hospital in St. Albans, New York the following year. He was a resident at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital from 1968-1971, which included a Fellowship year at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. From 1972-1974, Dr. Sire practiced medicine at the Naval Medical Center in Long Beach, California where he served as Chief of Dermatology. Upon completion of his naval service, he began private practice at the Fullerton Medical Clinic of Dermatology in Fullerton, California .
Affiliations
Dr. Sire is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University
of California, Irvine . He is a fellow of the American Academy
of Cosmetic Surgery, the American College of Phlebology, the
American Academy of Dermatology and the American Association
for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Sire also is a member
of the Orange County and American Medical associations, the
Orange County Dermatology Society, the Society for Dermatologic
Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery and the American
Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Sire is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He has been affiliated with St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California since 1974 and currently has affiliate/consulting status. He is a surveyor-trainee for the Institute of Medical Quality and helps evaluate surgical centers for accreditation.
Community Involvement
With the goal of preventing serious skin diseases, Dr. Sire conducts community screenings for moles and sun damage. He also provides free dermatological care to residents of the local Florence Crittenton shelter and removes tattoos for gang members attempting to start a new beginning through his affiliation with the Fullerton Police Department. A permanent Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church since 1979, Dr. Sire treats clergy from all religious affiliations without charge. |
