When we treat patients, we strive to make the treatments as comfortable as possible and minimize downtime.  We employ several advanced technologies that help reduce the impact of lasers and Intense Pulse Light devices.

New Serenity Device
Dramatically Reduces Pain
We are pleased to offer the newest technology from Candela which was recently approved by the FDA for taking pain out of the laser and IPL treatment process. The Serenity pain relief device also makes treatments more effective and safer, even at high light energy levels. 

Serenity gently applies suction to the area of skin being treated. By flattening the skin and pushing blood away from the treatment zone, it activates a natural pain blocking mechanism. This process also enables better light penetration and improves the effectiveness of the treatment.  At the same time the device reduces the potential for bruising.

Patients who come to the Center for laser hair removal, tattoo removal, skin tightening, and IPL photo facial treatments benefit from this new device.  Patients report pain levels dropping from a 7 to a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10, making it easier to endure a series of treatments.

Chiller Cools the Skin
The Center employs a specialized skin cooling technology, the Zimmer chiller, to minimize patient discomfort during procedures such as hair and tattoo removal and laser skin tightening.  To reduce discomfort, the Zimmer chiller is focused on the area to be treated just prior to the laser pulse.  This process is repeated throughout the treatment.
