Laser treatments for tattoo removal using the Medlite laser offer a solution by gently erasing and diminishing the appearance of unwanted tattoos. The degree of removal on any tattoo is hard to predict since the depth, amount and type of ink used is not known. Many tattoos done with newer inks cannot be completely removed.
Laser tattoo removal uses an intense beam of light to significantly
lighten or completely remove your tattoo without harming the
surrounding healthy cells. The treatment time and sessions
vary on the size and color of the tattoo, but multiple treatments
will be required in each case. However, with several unregulated
tattoo inks being used, it is impossible to predict the degree
of removal on any tattoo since the depth and amount of ink
used is not known. Many tattoos done with newer inks are not
completely removable.
Possible side effects might include redness, swelling and
tenderness of the treated area immediately following treatment.
