PRE-SURGICAL CLEARANCE

Your surgery nurse will greet you and will spend time reviewing all of the specific information you will need to know about your surgery. Your pre-surgical clearance will last approximately 30 minutes and cover the following information:

  • Verify complete understanding of surgery information, consent, pre and post care forms

  • Validate fee policy has been signed

  • Discuss all current and alternative medications

  • Prescription provided for lab work

  • Verify required prescriptions have been obtained (if required)

  • Obtain appropriate clearances

  • Ensure complete understanding of surgery/arrival procedures

  • Collect payment for surgery if required

  • Confirm surgery date
