Advanced Skincare partners to help make a difference
FULLERTON, CA - May 1, 2011 - Advanced Skincare Surgery & MedCenter’s philanthropic efforts in the community focus on helping children, youth, adults and religious affiliations.
Advanced Skincare is involved in many philanthropic organizations. Our center contributes to the community with free skin cancer screenings, helping former gang members through a free tattoo removal program, working with university students and treating youth with acne.
Skin Cancer Screenings
Advanced Skincare joins the American Academy of Dermatology for a 10th year by offering complimentary melanoma/skin cancer screenings during skin cancer awareness month in May. The screening is free for new patients.
Crittenton Services for Children & Families
For over 10 years, Advanced Skincare has been providing complimentary dermatological care to the children and families of Crittenton Services. Established in 1966, Crittenton provides residential treatment to children (boys and girls ages 6-12) and adolescent girls (ages 12-21) who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, who are pregnant or parenting, or who have entered the juvenile justice system as youth offenders.
Tattoo Removal Program
For over 15 years, Advanced Skincare has been providing free tattoo removal to ex-parole and gang-members to help start a new life. Individuals are sponsored by the State of California Department of Corrections in Los Angeles, Riverside, and Fullerton Police Departments.
Cal State Fullerton
Advanced Skincare continues to partner with various organizations within Cal State Fullerton; most recent, the Steven G. Mihaylo Entrepreneurial Center. By collaborating with a student marketing team, Advanced Skincare provides students a ‘real world’ opportunity to use their academic skills while exploring ways of expanding and enhancing Advanced Skincare’s patient experience.
Treating Clergy from all Religious Affiliations
