Advanced Skin Care, Dermatology, and Plastic Surgery is committed to helping you treat a wide variety of conditions or cosmetic concerns, and we pride ourselves on offering quality care to our patients. Certain procedures may be covered by your medical insurance, in which case we accept Medicare, Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), Point of Service (POS), private and group plans. At this time, we are not accepting HMO health plans.
We also offer financing through CareCredit and SurgeryLoans. Payment is due at the time of service. We do all we can to help you get the procedure you want when you want it.
Health insurance covers some treatments, but not those strictly for cosmetic improvements. If your condition is affecting your overall quality of life, your insurance plan may cover some or all of the cost of your procedure.
Some commonly-used insurance terms:
When you come for a procedure, bring your insurance ID card. We will make a copy and keep it on record for billing purposes. We are contracted with the majority of the insurance providers and will work with your insurance company to verify eligibility, coverage, and other details. Medicare is also accepted and we will work with Medicare in cases in which your procedure is covered, such as eyelid surgery, or breast reduction surgery. With health insurance and Medicare plans, patients are responsible for all applicable deductibles or co-pay amounts.
You will be billed for the deductible or co-insurance amounts after your insurance provider has processed your claim. Our clinic will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) that evaluates your coverage, and you will be copied by your insurer. Any expenses that are not covered will be billed to you. You may also receive a bill from any outside laboratory tests. If you need to make a payment, we accept major credit cards like VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
