Cosmelan Depigmentation Treatment
Cosmelan depigmentation treatments improve the appearance of pigmentation “blemishes” caused by melasma, aging and exposure to the sun. This mask and the topical at home cream treatment reduces the appearance of brown spots and pigmentation imperfections caused by melanin.

The first Cosmelan treatment is applied in the office. Patients leave the cream mask on their skin for the recommended time which is typically between six and ten hours, depending on skin type. The cream is odorless and causes no discomfort. Following the office treatment, there is a maintenance cream that is applied to the treated area twice a day for the first two weeks and once a day for a minimum of six months for best results. The maintenance cream continues to work on the melanin to ultimately erase the unwanted pigmentation. It may be necessary to have up to three in office treatments to achieve the desired results.

After the application of the mask the skin is red in appearance and goes through a mild peeling process for a few days. This procedure requires no downtime but you may want to limit your activities the day that the office mask treatment is applied.

Vitalize Peel
A Vitalize Peel is a chemical peel that uses the healing power of Vitamin A to improve skin tone and texture. This peel also reduces the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles and pigmented areas.

Some possible side effects are redness, swelling, discomfort, burning and peeling of the skin.

TCA Chemical Peel
The TCA Peel can be a superficial or moderately deep chemical peel, depending on the concentration of the acid and how it is applied. This peel dramatically rejuvenates complexion, reduces fine lines and acne scars, and improves sun-damaged skin. The TCA peel treatment might require several sessions to achieve the best results as it removes damaged skin while
stimulating the production of new,
healthy skin.

Post-peel side effects might include swelling, discomfort, burning and redness of the skin. A precursor to the TCA peel treatment is the Jessner peel, which is used to remove superficial layers of skin to allow better penetration during the TCA peel.
