How does Hydrodermabrasion work?
Controlled vacuum pressure gently lifts skin to the abrasion head providing an effective yet gentle exfoliation that causes less damage than typical microdermabrasion devices. Meanwhile, Bio-Therapeutic's AQUAFUSE solution is infused into the skin via channels in the abrasion head to soothe the skin and enhance the service.

This peel layers Salicylic Acid (Beta - Lift) and Glycolic Acid. The Salicylic Acid is layered first and then the Glycolic Acid is applied. This is a great lunch time peel as it has no downtime and very little if any, peeling. Glycolic Acid has the smallest molecular structure and deepest penetration of any alpha-hydroxy acid. This peel will help build new collagen, even pigmentation and decrease fine lines.

Smart Peel II |

Multi-acid layering provides custom results to diminish the signs of aging, reduce break-outs, fade the appearance of scars, and promote smoother, more radiant skin. This peel penetrates into the epidermis to relieve pigment irregularities, fine lines, and dull skin. Typically, patients notice mild to moderate flaking or light peeling for three to five days after the treatment. Special pre and post-treatment skin care is required. We include special skincare products and a home care regimen for you to follow for 1 - 2 weeks prior to your peel. In order to achieve maximum results, you must follow the guidelines as listed below or as recommended by our skin care consultant. A series of three treatments is recommended.
Important Information
- Do not undergo a chemical peel if you are pregnant
- Accutane must be discontinued a minimum of six months prior to any chemical peel treatment
- Retin-A, Renova, Differin or other prescription retinoids must be discontinued three to four weeks prior to any chemical peel. Benev Retinol Cream may be used up to three days before a chemical peel
- Avoid sun exposure for a minimum of one week before your peel and wear sunscreen daily. The Smart Peel II may not be performed on skin that has recently been sunburned or has been exposed to sun in the week prior to the peel
Smart Peel II Pre-Conditioning Benefits:
- Allow a uniform penetration of the chemical solutions to achieve more consistent results
- Less downtime and chance of post-peel abnormalities
- More predictable, even results
Week before your Smart Peel II:
- Avoid electrolysis, waxing, threading, depilatory creams and hair laser removal
- Stop using any exfoliating products that may be irritating, such as those containing acids or aggressive physical exfoliants like beads (EXCEPTION: Benev Salicylic Acid Exfoliator and Benev Glycolic Exfoliating Gel may be used up to three days before the peel)
3 days before your Smart Peel II:
- Stop using ALL products containing retinol
- If you are prone to cold sores, start the use of Valtrex (you must obtain a prescription from your physician for this medication) to prevent breakouts during treatment.
Patient Preparation
Pre-peel regimens are critical for ensuring a safe peel that gives you the best results possible. Prepping your skin with our pre-conditioning kit, allows for better penetration to achieve consistent results and enhances uniform uptake with less downtime and chance of post-peel abnormalities. Depending on your skin type, pre-conditioning may be necessary for up to three weeks prior to your procedure.
MORNING:
- Emulsify a small amount of Pearl Cleanser with fingers and gently massage onto wet skin of face and neck. Rinse thoroughly.
- Mix 2 drops of Hyaluronic Moisturizer with 2 drops of Pure Squalane and massage into skin.
- Apply Ultra Shield Lotion SPF 50. Reapply every 90 minutes when exposed to sunlight for long periods of time.
EVENING:
- Emulsify a small amount of Pearl Cleanser with fingers and gently massage onto wet skin of face and neck. Rinse thoroughly.
- Apply a small amount of Salicylic Acid Exfoliator onto a gauze pad to clean, dry skin of face and neck using a mild buffing action. Avoid eye area. Leave on the skin, DO NOT RINSE OFF.
- On completely dry skin, apply Gycolic Exfoliating Gel onto a gauze pad to face and neck using a mild buffing action. Leave on for 3 minutes then rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
- Mix 2 drops of Hyaluronic Moisturizer with 2 drops of Pure Squalane and massage into skin.
IMPORTANT:
If skin becomes too irritated and/or dry, use the Salicyclic Acid Exfoliator/Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Gel every other night.

TCA (10%) Peel |

A TCA peel is considered the “gold” standard for improvement of superficial discoloration as a result of sun and aging. This peel will enhance skin texture while minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. The TCA Peel may be safely performed on those with light brown, olive skin and even darker skin types. For optimal results, this peel should be repeated every 3 – 6 months.
